Pakistan reports 1,877 new coronavirus cases with 32 deaths in single day

ISLAMABAD: 11, JANUARY, 2021: The number of coronavirus infections has reached 504,293 on Monday after more cases were reported in different parts of the country.
According to the national database, 1,877 persons tested positive for the deadly virus in 24 hours whereas the total count of active cases increased up to 35,246.
As per sources, cases in Sindh climbed to 226,338 the highest number so far in the country, while the confirmed infections tally in Punjab stood at 145,508, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cases jumped to 61,424, in Balochistan 18,412 cases reported, Islamabad Capital Territory covid-19 cases reached 39,242, Gilgit-Baltistan tally up to 4,880 while 8,489 cases were reported in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
In addition, the country has recorded 10,676 deaths so far, after 32 fatalities were reported over the last 24 hours.
As per official data, Punjab recorded 4,272 deaths, a highest number as compared to any other province while 3,699 in Sindh, 1,740 deaths were reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 101 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 188 in Balochistan, Islamabad Capital Territory has reported 441 deaths and AJK recorded 235 deaths.
According to the NCOC, Pakistan has so far carried out 7,122,538 corona tests and 34,524 in last 24 hours and 458,371 patients have recovered.
Reportedly, 204,075 patients have been recovered in Sindh, 130,358 in Punjab, 56,535 in KP, 17,938 in Balochistan, 36,765 in Islamabad Capital Territory, 4,734 in Gilgit-Baltistan while in AJK 7,966 patients have been completely recovered across Pakistan whereas 2,286 patients are in a critical condition across the country.
