Pakistan reports 11 coronavirus deaths with 663 cases in 24 hours

ISLAMABAD: 18, OCTOBER, 2021: The number of coronavirus infections has mounted to 1,265,074 on Monday after more cases were reported in different parts of the country.
According to the national database 663 persons tested positive for the deadly virus in 24 hours whereas the positivity rate stands at 1.66 percent.
As per sources, cases in Sindh climbed to 465,819 the highest number so far in the country, while the confirmed infections tally in Punjab stood at 437,974, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cases jumped to 176,886, in Balochistan 33,128 cases reported, Islamabad Capital Territory covid-19 cases reached 106,469, Gilgit-Baltistan tally up to 10,369 while 34,402 cases were reported in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK). In addition, the country has recorded 28,280 deaths so far, after 11 fatalities were reported over the last 24 hours. As per official data, Punjab recorded 12,849 deaths, a highest number as compared to any other province while 7,530 in Sindh, 5,686 deaths were reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 186 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 352 in Balochistan, Islamabad Capital Territory has reported 937 deaths and AJK recorded 740 deaths.
According to the NCOC, Pakistan has so far carried out 20,235,921, corona tests and 39,902 in last 24 hours and 1,210,897 patients have recovered.
Reportedly, 446,400 patients have been recovered in Sindh, 415,646 in Punjab, 168,087 in KP, 32,647 in Balochistan, 104,526 in Islamabad Capital Territory, 10,108 in Gilgit-Baltistan while in AJK 33,483 patients have been completely recovered across Pakistan whereas 1,913 patients are in critical condition.
