Pakistan reports 310 cases with nine fatalities in 24 hours

ISLAMABAD: 08, DECEMBER, 2021: Coronavirus cases tally in the country has climbed to 1,287,703 on Wednesday after more infections were reported in different parts of the country.
According to the national database, 310 persons tested positive for the deadly virus in 24 hours whereas the positivity rate stands at 0.71 percent.
As per sources, cases in Sindh climbed to 477,119 the highest number so far in the country, while the confirmed infections tally in Punjab stood at 443,610, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cases jumped to 180,471, in Balochistan 33,514 cases reported, Islamabad Capital Territory covid-19 cases reached 107,989, Gilgit-Baltistan tally up to 10,414 while 34,586 cases were reported in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
In addition, the country has recorded 28,793 deaths so far, after nine fatalities were reported over the last 24 hours.
As per official data, Punjab recorded 13,044 deaths, a highest number as compared to any other province while 7,630 in Sindh, 5,868 deaths were reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 186 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 362 in Balochistan, Islamabad Capital Territory has reported 961 deaths and AJK recorded 742 deaths.
According to the NCOC, Pakistan has so far carried out 22,338,650, corona tests and 43,503 in last 24 hours and 1,247,066 patients have recovered.
Reportedly, 462,978 patients have been recovered in Sindh, 426,402 in Punjab, 173,891 in KP, 33,108 in Balochistan, 106,656 in Islamabad Capital Territory, 10,224 in Gilgit-Baltistan while in AJK 33,807 patients have been completely recovered across Pakistan whereas 783 patients are in critical condition.
