Pakistan reports 4,723 more coronavirus cases with 84 deaths in single day

ISLAMABAD: 03, APRIL, 2021: The number of coronavirus cases has mounted to 682,888 on Saturday after more infections were reported in different parts of the country.
According to the national database, 4,723 persons tested positive for the deadly virus in 24 hours whereas the total count of active cases increased up to 58,500 and the positivity rate stands at 9.41 percent.
As per sources, cases in Sindh climbed to 266,173 the highest number so far in the country, while the confirmed infections tally in Punjab stood at 228,356, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cases jumped to 90,262, in Balochistan 19,679 cases reported, Islamabad Capital Territory covid-19 cases reached 60,197, Gilgit-Baltistan tally up to 5,045 while 13,176 cases were reported in Azad Jammu and Kashmir(AJK).
In addition, the country has recorded 14,697 deaths so far, after 84 fatalities were reported over the last 24 hours.
As per official data, Punjab recorded 6,523 deaths, a highest number as compared to any other province while 4,506 in Sindh, 2,417 deaths were reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 103 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 211 in Balochistan, Islamabad Capital Territory has reported 574 deaths and AJK recorded 363 deaths.
According to the NCOC, Pakistan has so far carried out 10,347,730 corona tests and 50,186 in last 24 hours and 609,691 patients have recovered.
Reportedly, 256,479 patients have been recovered in Sindh, 192,452 in Punjab, 77,166 in KP, 19,136 in Balochistan, 48,481 in Islamabad Capital Territory, 4,879 in Gilgit-Baltistan while in AJK 11,098 patients have been completely recovered across Pakistan whereas 3,490 patients are in a critical condition across the country.
