ISLAMABAD: 05, NOVEMBER, 2021: Coronavirus infections tally in the country has jumped to 1,275,673 on Friday after more cases were reported in different parts of the country.
According to the national database, 515 persons tested positive for the deadly virus in 24 hours whereas the positivity rate stands at 1.16 percent.
As per sources, cases in Sindh climbed to 471,205 the highest number so far in the country, while the confirmed infections tally in Punjab stood at 440,788, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cases jumped to 178,427, in Balochistan 33,307 cases reported, Islamabad Capital Territory covid-19 cases reached 107,063, Gilgit-Baltistan tally up to 10,392 while 34,491 cases were reported in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
In addition, the country has recorded 28,507 deaths so far, after 11 fatalities were reported over the last 24 hours.
As per official data, Punjab recorded 12,940 deaths, a highest number as compared to any other province while 7,580 in Sindh, 5,761 deaths were reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 186 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 356 in Balochistan, Islamabad Capital Territory has reported 943 deaths and AJK recorded 741 deaths.
According to the NCOC, Pakistan has so far carried out 21,011,048, corona tests and 44,148 in last 24 hours and 1,224,425 patients have recovered.
Reportedly, 450,707 patients have been recovered in Sindh, 419,980 in Punjab, 171,219 in KP, 32,830 in Balochistan, 105,815 in Islamabad Capital Territory, 10,176 in Gilgit-Baltistan while in AJK 33,698 patients have been completely recovered across Pakistan whereas 1,229 patients are in critical condition.
