Pakistan reports 723 covid-19 cases with seven deaths in single day

ISLAMABAD: 11, MARCH, 2022: Covid-19 infections tally in the country has reached 1,517,512 on Friday after more infections were reported in different parts of the country.
According to the national database, 723 persons infected with the deadly virus in 24 hours whereas the positivity rate stands at 1.82 percent.
As per sources, cases in Sindh climbed to 571,268 the highest number so far in the country, while the confirmed infections tally in Punjab stood at 503,426, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cases jumped to 217,857, in Balochistan 35,427 cases reported, Islamabad Capital Territory covid-19 cases reached 134,767, Gilgit-Baltistan tally up to 11,608 while 43,159 cases were reported in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
In addition, the country has recorded 30,298 deaths so far, after 7 deaths were reported over the last 24 hours.
As per official data, Punjab recorded 13,535 deaths, a highest number as compared to any other province while 8,089 in Sindh, 6,297 deaths were reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 191 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 377 in Balochistan, Islamabad Capital Territory has reported 1,019 deaths and AJK recorded 790 deaths.
According to the NCOC, Pakistan has so far carried out 26,825,303 corona tests and 39,540 in last 24 hours and 1,469,405 patients have been recovered.
Reportedly, 551,389 patients have been recovered in Sindh, 486,705 in Punjab, 209,484 in KP, 34,974 in Balochistan, 133,392 in Islamabad Capital Territory, 11,248 in Gilgit-Baltistan while in AJK 42,213 patients have been completely recovered across Pakistan while 956 patients are in critical condition.
