Pakistan reports seven covid-19 deaths with 756 cases in 24 hours

ISLAMABAD: 07, MARCH, 2022: Coronavirus cases tally in the country has climbed to 1,515,014 on Monday after more infections were reported in different parts of the country.
According to the national database, 756 persons infected with the deadly virus in 24 hours whereas the positivity rate stands at 2.01 percent.
As per sources, cases in Sindh climbed to 570,261 the highest number so far in the country, while the confirmed infections tally in Punjab stood at 502,844, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cases jumped to 217,187, in Balochistan 35,388 cases reported, Islamabad Capital Territory covid-19 cases reached 134,643, Gilgit-Baltistan tally up to 11,577 while 43,114 cases were reported in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
In addition, the country has recorded 30,272 deaths so far, after 7 deaths were reported over the last 24 hours.
As per official data, Punjab recorded 13,526 deaths, a highest number as compared to any other province while 8,085 in Sindh, 6,288 deaths were reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 191 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 376 in Balochistan, Islamabad Capital Territory has reported 1,018 deaths and AJK recorded 788 deaths.
According to the NCOC, Pakistan has so far carried out 26,683,737 corona tests and 37,518 in last 24 hours and 1,455,162 patients have been recovered.
Reportedly, 539,487 patients have been recovered in Sindh, 485,762 in Punjab, 208,510 in KP, 34,943 in Balochistan, 133,162 in Islamabad Capital Territory, 11,223 in Gilgit-Baltistan while in AJK 42,075 patients have been completely recovered across Pakistan while 826 patients are in critical condition.
