Pakistan sees decline in coronavirus deaths with 26 fatalities

ISLAMABAD: 15, FEBRUARY, 2021: The number of coronavirus cases has mounted to 564,077 on Monday after more infections were reported in different parts of the country.
According to the national database, 1,048 persons tested positive for the deadly virus in 24 hours whereas the total count of active cases increased up to 25,747.
As per sources, cases in Sindh climbed to 253,768 the highest number so far in the country, while the confirmed infections tally in Punjab stood at 164,268, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cases jumped to 69,990, in Balochistan 18,948 cases reported, Islamabad Capital Territory covid-19 cases reached 42,688, Gilgit-Baltistan tally up to 4,940 while 9,487 cases were reported in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
In addition, the country has recorded 12,333 deaths so far, after 26 fatalities were reported over the last 24 hours.
As per official data, Punjab recorded 5,051 deaths, a highest number as compared to any other province while 4,219 in Sindh, 1,995 deaths were reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 102 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 199 in Balochistan, Islamabad Capital Territory has reported 486 deaths and AJK recorded 281 deaths.
According to the NCOC, Pakistan has so far carried out 8,466,117 corona tests and 32,019 in last 24 hours and 525,997 patients have recovered.
Reportedly, 235,470 patients have been recovered in Sindh, 151,896 in Punjab, 65,646 in KP, 18,655 in Balochistan, 40,800 in Islamabad Capital Territory, 4,805 in Gilgit-Baltistan while in AJK 8,725 patients have been completely recovered across Pakistan whereas 1,680 patients are in a critical condition across the country.
