Pakistani startup DoctHERs wins International Tiger Challenge 2019

DHAKA: 28, DECEMBER, 2019: DoctHERs, the emerging startup company of Pakistan, has announced the name of Pakistan internationally to solve public health problems and train nurses and midwives using telemedicine and ICT.
The company has won one of the three leading companies in the Tiger Challenge competition 2019.
The competition was held in Bangladesh, organized by the International Tiger Foundation in collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Solo.
In the International Tiger Challenge 2019 International category, DoctHERs were among the three selected best companies.
In recognition of this, not only DoctHERs have been given the award but a total of up to $ 2 million will be invested in the three startups.
Drink Well, a company that provides clean water with doctors and Flex Artificial, a respiratory system health company, was also included in the three best organizations.
In Pakistan especially women are suffering from numerous health problems and many women doctors themselves have not been able to continue their practice after MBBS.
The Doctor's platform initially connected female doctors to patients through telemedicine and then expanded their jurisdiction using ICT.
After that, DoctHERs started training nurses and midwives throughout Pakistan with the help of telemedicine and so far more than 150 women are associated with the institute.
Thus, more than one million people have been provided treatment in some field of medicine and health.
The number of DoctHERs mobiles and smart clinics across the country has grown to over 50.
Most importantly, the DoctHERs is working where the doctors are unable to reach.
Thus far, their scope has expanded to more than 3000 remote villages and rural areas. (04)
