Pervaiz Musharaf passed away

Dubai: 5 Feb 2023: Pervez Musharraf, a former president and retired general, died on Sunday in Dubai after a protracted fight with the rare condition amyloidosis. He was 79. The story was confirmed by Shazia Siraj, a spokeswoman for Pakistan's embassy in Abu Dhabi and consulate in Dubai. She said, "I can confirm that he passed away this morning. According to news reports, Musharraf's body would be sent back to Pakistan for burial aboard a special flight to Dubai on Monday. According to a report, Musharraf's family want to repatriate his body to Pakistan, and the Pakistani Consulate General in Dubai has given their approval. The international media quoted Consul-General Hassan Afzal Khan as stating, "We are in contact with the family and the consulate would aid in any manner it can, the consulate has issued the no objection certificate."
Condolences
The Inter-Military Public Relations (ISPR) announced in a statement released shortly after Musharraf's death that Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad and all the services chiefs had sent their deepest condolences. The military's media wing prayed for Allah to "bless the departed soul and provide strength to the bereaved family."The family of Musharraf received condolences from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif as well."I send my sympathies to General Pervez Musharraf's (retired) family. May the soul of the deceased find peace," he tweeted.
