Police Martyrs Day: Bilawal praises role of police in fighting terrorism, corona pandemic

KARACHI: 04, AUGUST, 2021: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Wednesday has paid rich tribute to police personnel who have sacrificed their lives for the safety of Pakistan as the country is observing Police Martyrs Day today. 

In a statement, the Pakistan Peoples' Party (PPP) chairman praised the historical role of police in combating terrorism and Covid-19 pandemic. 

He further said that the police department is performing commendable duties despite limited resources. 

On the other hand, Quran Khwani will be held and blood donation camps and walks will be organised in Peshawar and other districts in connection with the Day. 

The day is observed all over Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to pay tributes to the fallen heroes of the KP Police. 

As many as 1,508 cops including a number of senior and junior police officers as well as females were martyred in the last 21 years across province. (04)
