Prices of petroleum products likely to increase by Rs12 per litre

According to details, a summary of rise in prices of petroleum products has been sent to the Petroleum Division where it has suggested to increase petrol prices by Rs 12 per liter.
Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) summary recommended an increase of Rs 12 per litre for petrol, Rs 10 per litre for diesel, Rs 7 per litre for kerosene oil, and Rs 5.5 per litre for light diesel oil.
Sources said OGRA prepared its summary on the basis of a levy of Rs30 per litre. Currently, the levy on petrol is Rs21.56 per litre and Rs23.9 per litre on diesel.
The final decision will be taken by the Ministry of Finance after consultation with PM Imran Khan. (04)
