Processions of Imam Husain’s Chehlum in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, 17, 9, 2o22, The Chehlum procession of Imam Husain in Hyderabad, which began from Qadamgah Maula Ali in the afternoon on Saturday culminated at Karbala Dadan Shah in the evening.
Thousands of men, women and children walked their way from distant areas of Hyderabad as part of the Arbaeen walk and gathered at the Qadamgah to join the procession. The Hyderabad police said over 2,000 policemen were deployed for security during the procession.
According to the official APP news agency, a police spokesperson said 23 processions, in addition to the main procession, were taken out in Hyderabad.
He said that all streets intersecting the route of the main procession were sealed and walk-through gates were placed at the Qadamgah.
