Punjab CM Buzdar, Sheikh Rashid discuss no-confidence move

LAHORE: 24, MARCH, 2022: Federal Minister for Interior Sheikh Rashid met Chief Minister of Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar on Thursday.
During the meeting, law and order situation and opposition's no-trust move against Prime Minister Imran Khan were discussed, sources said.
On the occasion, Usman Buzdar said that "he stands firm with PM Imran Khan."
Meanwhile, Rashid said "opposition parties will get a surprise on the day of voting on no-confidence motion."
On the other hand, Pakistan People's Party (PPP) will meet Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) leadership in the federal capital today (Thursday).
According to sources, in continuation of the series of political meetings, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah along with his cabinet members will hold session with the MQM-P leadership, during which the current political situation, including the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan will be reviewed.
Sources further informed that, the progress is likely to be made on the proposed agreement between the PPP and MQM-P in the meeting.
The ongoing talks between the joint opposition and the MQM-P have also raised some new demands and today's talks would be fruitful, sources added.
In addition, the senior PPP leaders and legal experts have objected to some of the provisions of the proposed agreement between the two parties. (04)
