Punjab records 50 more omicron infections, bringing provincial tally to 372

LAHORE: 13, JANUARY, 2022: Punjab has registered 50 more cases of coronavirus omicron variant in last 24 hours bringing the provincial tally to 372 in the province.
According to details, Lahore reported highest number of cases in the province after 43 contracted the virus.
Last month, the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) said that only safety we can get against coronavirus omicron variant is vaccination.
In a tweet, National Command and Operation Centre, stated that "the whole world is facing a new wave of coronavirus infections due to Omicron. People are advised to get complete vaccination and stand by their government on the war against coronavirus."
"30% of country’s total population and 46% of eligible population stand vaccinated! In wake of rising threat of Omicron, please get yourself fully vaccinated and follow SOPs! Wear mask, avoid crowded places and ensure social distancing!," it added. (04)
