LAHORE: 19, NOVEMBER, 2021: Dengue continues to increase in Punjab as 213 another cases surfaced during last 24 hours in the province on Friday.
Dengue virus took four more lives in the province bringing the total death toll to 109.
As per details, out of the four victims of the virus, three were from Lahore while other 29 were from Islamabad and 29 from Rawalpindi.
Delay in fumigation by the administration resulted in an upsurge in dengue patients this season, the sources said.
Dengue is a mosquito-borne viral disease that has rapidly spread in all regions in recent years.
Dengue fever is basically a mosquito-borne infection that can lead to a severe flu-like illness. It is caused by Aedes mosquitoes.
