Rawalpindi: Three of a family burned to death in house fire

RAWALPINDI: 18, JANUARY, 2021: Three persons of the same family burnt alive when fire erupted in a house located in Bahria Town Phase -8 Defence block in Rawalpindi on Sunday night and engulfed entire house rapidly.
According to details, the fire broke out owing to gas leakage.
After getting information, police and rescue workers rushed at the location and transferred the dead to hospital.
The deceased were identified as Umar Ahsan, his wife Anum Ahsan and son Ashir Ahsan.
Police have commenced the investigation into the incident.
Earlier, on January 15, four members of same family were burnt to death when fire broke out in a house at the Wahdat Road, in Lahore on late Thursday night.
According to details, fire erupted in a house located in Shahid Colony at the Wahdat Road area of Lahore when some cloths touched the gas heater and engulfed the entire house rapidly.
After being informed, fire brigade vehicles and rescue teams rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control.
The dead bodies were shifted to hospital for further medical examination.
The deceased included 52-year-old Rukhsana, her grandsons Hanan and Hadi and granddaughter Abeera.
According to SP Iqbal Town, Capt (Retd) Muhammad Ajmal, the fire broke out at the ground floor of the house during which the grandmother tried to save the kids.
On the other hand, Punjab Chief Minister Usman buzdar has expressed regret over the loss of precious lives. (04)
