Road accident in Lahore leaves one dead, two hurt

LAHORE: 16, SEPTEMBER, 2021: One person was dead while two others were wounded when the bike they were riding on was hit by a rashly driven truck in Lahore on Wednesday night.

According to details, the tragic accident took place in Manawan area of Lahore where an over-speeding truck collided with a motorcycle, as a result, a man died on the spot and two others were seriously injured.

After getting information, police and rescue teams reached the spot and moved the dead and injured to Services Hospital.

As per rescue sources, the deceased was identified as 35-year old Saleem and was resident of Sargodha.

Police said that the truck driver managed to flee from the scene after committing the crime.

Earlier, on September 14, at least two people including woman lost their lives while one was injured when the motorbike they were riding on was hit by a rashly driven tractor trolley in Bahawalnagar on Monday night.

According to details, the road mishap took place at the Arifwala Road where an over-speeding tractor trolley hit a motorcycle, resulting, two persons including woman died on the spot and another was seriously injured.

On receiving information about the road accident, rescue teams reached the spot and transferred the dead and injured to District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital Bahawalnagar. (04)
