Road accident in Nowshera leaves four dead

NOWSHERA: 13, JANUARY, 2022: At least four persons were dead in a road accident in Nowshera on Wednesday night.
According to details, the accident happened at the Mardan Road in Nowshera where a truck collided with tractor, following brake failure.
As a result of collision, four persons died on the spot.
After being informed, rescue teams reached the spot and moved the dead bodies to hospital for autopsy.
A day earlier, at least one person dead while eight others were seriously injured as multiple vehicles collided on National Highway near Matiari on Wednesday.
According to details, the fatal accident happened on National Highway near Matiari where several vehicles collided with each other due to fog, resulting one person died on the spot and eight others were wounded.
On receiving information about the road accident, the security personnel and rescue teams reached the spot and moved and shifted the victims to nearby hospital for medical treatment.
Police said low visibility conditions have affected the flow of traffic on National Highway.
The deceased was identified as a truck driver who hailed from Shahdadpur, police informed. (04)
