SHC orders to fix milk prices

KARACHI: 22, NOVEMBER, 2021: The Sindh High Court on Monday has ordered the Karachi's administration to fix milk prices in the city.
According to sources, a two-judge bench headed by CJ Justice Ahmed Ali Shaikh heard a contempt of case against the commissioner Karachi and others for failing to fix milk prices.
During the hearing, the lawyer of the petitioner said that the court directed the administration of the city to fix the prices of milk within four weeks, but it utterly failed and the milk is being sold at Rs 140 to 150 per litre in Karachi.
Meanwhile, Commissioner Karachi submitted report regarding action against the profiteers across the metropolis. (04)
