Islamabad: 4 November 2021: Babar Azam has become the first batter to score 3 half centuries in a T20 World Cup, the highest grosser of half centuries overall with 14, the fastest to 1000 T20 runs as captain and, with Muhammad Rizwan, the first opening pair to pile up 5 century stands in the shortest format. Rizwan has also become the first batter in the world to score 900 plus T20 runs in a calendar year and has the best average (52 plus) for anyone with over 1000 T20 runs. And after becoming the No.1 ODI batter, Babar Azam regains his No.1 ranking in T20 as well today.
