Schools across Sindh reopen after over a month hiatus

KARACHI: 30, AUGUST, 2021: Schools across Sindh have reopened with 100 % COVID vaccinated staff and 50 % attendance at a time after over a month hiatus owing to increase in coronavirus cases.

The notification issued in this regard by the provincial education department.

A meeting of the working committee of Sindh Education Department which was held on Friday had taken a decision to open schools across the province from Monday. 

The authorities after deliberation allowed in-person classes in schools six days a week. It was also decided in the meeting that there will be classes for 3 days 1 shift and 3 days second shift, directing the administration to divide students into two groups and allow one group at a time for in-person classes.

All private and government schools would be bound to adopt the procedure. The meeting also decided that the school owners would inform the parents about the vaccination through awareness campaign.

The working committee of the Sindh Education Department decided in the session that the staff and the parents would submit a copy of the vaccination card to the school.

As per the decision taken in the meeting, the committee of the education department in the schools will review the situation about implementation of the COVID SOPs. (04)
