LAHORE: 27, JANUARY, 2022: Dense fog paralyzed routine life and disrupted normal road, rail and air traffic to and from various cities in Punjab on night between Wednesday and Thursday.
According to details, the authorities also temporarily closed the motorways due to low visibility including the Motorway Section from Lahore to Sheikhupura (M2), Motorway Section from Lahore to Jaranwala (M3) and Motorway Section from Lahore to Sialkot (M11) have been closed as visibility was very poor.
The flight operation at the Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore was disrupted as the visibility dropped below 100 metres and several incoming or outgoing flights were either delayed or cancelled.
The Motorway police have advised the drivers to switch on fog lights during driving at very slow speed as the visibility was dropped to very low owing to dense fog while people have also been directed to stay home and avoid unnecessary travelling as visibility was down to zero metres at some places.
