Several Motorway sections closed as fog blankets Punjab

LAHORE: 28, DECEMBER, 2021: Dense fog paralyzed routine life and disrupted normal road, rail and air traffic to and from various cities in Punjab on night between Monday and Tuesday.
According to details, the authorities also temporarily closed the motorways due to low visibility, including the Motorway section from Lahore to Darkhana (M3), Motorway M4 from Shershah Interchange to Abdul Hakim, Motorway M4 from Toba Interchange to Pindi Bhattian, Motorway M5 from Shershah Interchange to Jalalpur Pirwala. Dense for has also affected traffic on the National Highway in several cities including Multan, Mian Channu, Jahanian, Khanewal Ahmedpur Sharqia, Uch Sharif, Renala Khurd and Faisalabad as visibility was very low.
The Motorway police have advised the drivers to switch on fog lights during driving at very slow speed as the visibility was dropped to very low owing to dense fog while people have also been directed to stay home and avoid unnecessary travelling as visibility was down to zero metres at some places.
