Sheikhupura: Two female students dead, several hurt as train hits school van

SHEIKHUPURA: 16, NOVEMBER, 2021: Two female students lost their lives while several others were injured when a passenger train hit a school van at a railway crossing near Sheikhupura on Tuesday.
On receiving information about the accident, rescue teams rushed at the location and transferred the injured to DHQ Hospital Sheikhupura.
Area residents protested and stopped the train; however, after mediation of police and successful talks, the train left for its destination.
On Monday night, at least three persons were dead when an over-speeding car collided with a road divider and overturned at the Expressway in capital.
According to details, the road mishap occurred at teh Expressway near Faizabad where a car turned turtle after hitting the road divider and collided with four other vehicles, as a result, four persons injured seriously.
After getting information about the road crash, rescue teams reached the spot and moved the injured to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) Islamabad where three of the injured succumbed to their injuries during treatment.
Hospital sources informed, the deceased were identified as Fahad Islam, Haris and Shariq and were residents of Jhelum and Rawalpindi. (04)
