SHUJABAD: 28, JANUARY, 2021: At least three persons including a woman and a child were dead while three others were seriously injured when a speeding car overturned at the Motorway near Shujabad on Wednesday night. 

According to details, the road mishap happened near Basti Dad Interchange, near Shujabad where a car turned turtle while avoiding a collision with a bus, as a result, three persons including a woman and a child died on the spot and three others were critically wounded.

Rescue teams reached the spot and moved the dead and injured to Civil Hospital for medical treatment. 

The dead and injured were residents of Karachi, rescue sources said. 

The ill-fated car was going to Multan from Karachi.

Earlier, on january 26, at least five people lost their lives while eight others were critically injured in a collision between a bus and a van near Pindi Bhattian on Monday night.

According to details, the road crash took place on the Faisalabad Motorway near Pindi Bhattian where a speeding bus collided with a van, resulting, five persons died on the spot and eight others were injured. 

After being informed about the accident, rescue teams rushed to the spot and transferred the dead and injured to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital (THQ), Pindi Bhattian.

Sources said that all deceased were labourers and belonged to Bahawalpur. (04)
