Snowfall in parts of country turns weather extreme cold

ISLAMABAD: 23, JANUARY, 2021: Downpour and snowfall in most parts of the country turned the weather extreme cold.
According to details, rain and snowfall in northern districts of Azad Kashmir, Muzaffarabad, Neelum Valley, Hattian Bala, Poonch Haveli, Pallandri and Bagh turned the weather more chilly.
As per the Pakistan Meteorological Department, Muzaffarabad, Leepa Reshian Road was closed due to heavy snowfall while intermittent snowfall continued in Chilas and upper areas.
On the other hand, heavy snowfall recorded in Diamer, Babusar Top, Nanga Parbat, Batogah Top, Murree.
Weather office said in its report, rainfall in different sectors of Islamabad has turned the weather cold again.
Earlier, the Met Office told that a new weather system will enter in Karachi from Balochistan on Saturday night.
The westerly wave will bring gusty Siberian winds with a speed from 22 to above 30 kilometres per hour, the report added.
It further that new cold spell will start in the metropolis from Sunday and will continue for at least three days.
