Three terrorists killed in Pakpattan operation: CTD

PAKPATTAN: 13, OCTOBER, 2021: Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) on Wednesday claimed to have killed three terrorists of a banned outfit during an intelligence-based operation in Pakpattan.
According to CTD spokesperson, an intelligence based operation (IBO) carried out in Pakpattan during which terrorists hiding in the area opened fire.
The security personnel returned the fire, resulting three terrorist were killed and four to five terrorists managed to flee from the scene, the CTD spokesperson added.
He also informed that dead terrorists were involved in attack on 10 Muharram in Bahawalnagar.
Weapons and explosive material were also recovered from the hideout of the terrorists.
Earlier, on September 16, Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) on Thursday arrested a terrorist of banned outfit during an intelligence-based operation in Chaman.
As per CTD spokesperson, an operation was carried out near Pak-Afghan border in Chaman during which an alleged terrorist belonging to a banned organization was apprehended.
Arms and explosive material were also confiscated from the possession of arrested terrorist, the CTD spokesperson said, adding that, "The arrested terrorist of banned outfit, whose identity has not been disclosed, was wanted in several cases of terrorism." (04)
