Two dead, two hurt in Chiniot road accident

CHINIOT: 05, DECEMBER, 2020: At least two people lost their lives and two others were critically injured in a collision between two tractor trollies near village Rashida in Chiniot on Friday night.
According to details, the accident took place at the Jhang Road near Village Rashida located near Chiniot where two tractor trollies collided with each other, as a result, two people died on the spot and two others were seriously wounded.
Eye-witnesses said, the road mishap occurred owing to over speeding.
After getting information, rescue teams reached the spot and shifted the dead and injured to District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital Chiniot.
According to rescue sources, the deceased were identified as Abid and Nadeem and were residents of Naqiabad area.
Earlier, November 30, at least 13 people including women and children were dead while multiple others were critically injured as passenger van and bus caught fire after a collision between them because of smog in Narang Mandi, near Sheikhupura on Monday.
According to details, the incident occurred in Narang Mandi, on the Narowal Road, near Sheikhupura where a gas cylinder installed in the van exploded after it collided with a bus.
After getting information about the crash, the police and rescue teams rushed at the location and started operation.
The bodies and injured were tranferred to the Rural Health Centre in Sheikhupura. A rescue official said, "Critical patients are being moved to the Mayo Hospital in Lahore."
District Emergency Officer Rana Ejaz Ahmed said "The bus collided with a Toyota Hiace van due to less visibility on the road," adding that the LPG cylinder in the van exploded setting both the vehicles ablaze after collision.
The ill-fated bus was going from Narowal to Lahore. (04)
