Two separate road accidents in Punjab leave five dead

LAYYAH: 14, OCTOBER, 2021: Three persons lost their lives in a road mishap in Layyah on late Wednesday night.
According to details, the accident took place in Layyah where three members of the same family were dead when the car they were riding in overturned owing to tyre burst.
On receiving information, rescue teams and police reached the spot and moved the dead bodies to hospital for autopsy.
Later, the bodies were handed to kin.
On the other side, another road crash happened in Pakpattan where a rashly driven tractor trolley hit a bike, as a result, a woman and her son died on the spot.
A day earlier, at least two dead including a minor while seven others were seriously injured in road mishaps in various parts of Punjab on Tuesday night. According to details, the first road crash took place in Bahawalnagar where a rashly driven car hit a bike, as a result, woman died on the spot and two others were wounded.
Another incident was occurred in Pakpattan where an over-speeding van collided with a motorcycle, resulting, a seven-year-old boy lost his life on the spot and his father was critically hurt. As per eye-witnesses, the driver of the van managed to flee from the scene after the accident.
The third road mishap happened in Lahore where a collision occurred between a rickshaw and motorbike, injuring four persons.
After getting information, about the mishaps, rescue teams reached the spots and transferred the dead and injured to hospital. (04)
