UNESCO is reviving the spirit of Mosul

Syria: 12 February 2021: The militant Islamic State has long cast the shadow of blood and horror in ungoverned areas of Iraq and Syria. Mosul has cultural places that are being attacked badly by IS, Mosul was once the capital city of IS and it becomes the center of attacks and destruction.
Now UNESCO has started a good initiative to revive and secure Mosul and its cultural heritage with the name of a project called Revive the Spirit of Mosul. Centuries-old mosques and churches are being built on old footprints.
As evidence, cultural harmony and interfaith was seen in the communities. The story of destruction does not end here but the list is long, The Roman oasis of Palmyra in Syria; the ancient town of Nineveh in Iraq as well as several other mosques, churches, and monasteries were attacked by the outfit in an orgy of hate and violence.
