SRINAGAR: 05, AUGUST, 2021: Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control, in Pakistan and all over the world are observing Black Day today (Thursday), to convey a message to India and the international community that they reject New Delhi's illegal actions taken on this day in 2019.
In IoK, a complete shutdown is being observed whereas security across IIOJK has been beefed to thwart a march to be conducted towards the Lal Chowk in Srinagar, that is aimed at registering protest against Narendra Modi government's illegal actions of August 05, 2019.
Patrolling has been intensified at district headquarters and close vigil is being maintained on the movement of people.
Barricades have been erected on many arterial roads, including the entry and exit points to Srinagar.
Call for the observance of the Black Day, shutdown and the march has been given by the All Parties Hurriyat Conference as part of Ashra-e-Muzahamat, 10-Day Resistance calendar.
The day is being marked by complete shutdown, civil curfew and blackout between 8:00pm to 8:30pm as part of the beginning of Ashra-e-Muzahamat, 10-Day Resistance, calendar released by the All Parties Hurriyat Conference in Srinagar.
Black flags have been displayed while special prayers will be offered in the evening on each day of the Ashra-e-Muzahamat. Protest rallies are being organised against the widespread killings, custodial disappearances, arbitrary detentions, molestation of women and vandalizing of residential houses by Indian forces in the occupied territory.
Pakistan is observing Youm-e-Istehsal (Day of Exploitation in occupied Kashmir) today (Wednesday) to mark one year of Indian government's move to revoke Article 370 of the Indian constitution, removing the special status of Jammu and Kashmir and express solidarity with the oppressed Kashmiris.
The Day, is being observed throughout Azad Jammu & Kashmir, Pakistan and rest of the world to condemn the illegal, immoral, unconstitutional step and inhuman action of the 5th August, 2019. One minute silence' at 9am observed across the country.
The traffic across the country halted for one minute while sirens will also be played. Anti-India protest rallies, walks and special events will be organised in the country to express solidarity with Kashmiri brethren and expose real face of India before the world.
On this day, the whole nation will give a message to their Kashmiri brothers and sisters that they are not alone rather the people of Pakistan will always support their struggle for freedom.
Posters and billboards highlighting the plight of Kashmiri people have been displayed at the main roads of Islamabad and other provincial capitals. (04)
