ISLAMABAD: 15, SEPTEMBER, 2021: The number of coronavirus cases has mounted to 1,212,809 on Wednesday after more infections were reported in different parts of the country.
According to the national database 2,714 persons tested positive for the deadly virus in 24 hours whereas the positivity rate stands at 4.78 percent.
As per sources, cases in Sindh climbed to 446,840 the highest number so far in the country, while the confirmed infections tally in Punjab stood at 416,901, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cases jumped to 169,429 in Balochistan 32,658 cases reported, Islamabad Capital Territory covid-19 cases reached 103,293, Gilgit-Baltistan tally up to 10,198 while 33,490 cases were reported in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
In addition, the country has recorded 26,938 deaths so far, after 73 fatalities were reported over the last 24 hours.
As per official data, Punjab recorded 12,291 deaths, a highest number as compared to any other province while 7,192 in Sindh, 5,310 deaths were reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 182 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 344 in Balochistan, Islamabad Capital Territory has reported 892 deaths and AJK recorded 727 deaths.
According to the NCOC, Pakistan has so far carried out 18,625,952, corona tests and 56,733 in last 24 hours and 1,108,339 patients have recovered.
Reportedly, 400,027 patients have been recovered in Sindh, 379,916 in Punjab, 156,532 in KP, 31,985 in Balochistan, 98,789 in Islamabad Capital Territory, 9,747 in Gilgit-Baltistan while in AJK 31,343 patients have been completely recovered across Pakistan whereas 5,122 patients are in critical condition across the country.
