Coronavirus infects 377 more in Pakistan, kills eight

ISLAMABAD: 02, DECEMBER, 2021: Coronavirus cases tally in the country has mounted to 1,285,631 on Thursday after more infections were reported in different parts of the country.
According to the national database, 377 persons tested positive for the deadly virus in 24 hours whereas the positivity rate stands at 0.85 percent.
As per sources, cases in Sindh climbed to 476,017 the highest number so far in the country, while the confirmed infections tally in Punjab stood at 443,240, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cases jumped to 180,146, in Balochistan 33,488 cases reported, Islamabad Capital Territory covid-19 cases reached 107,765, Gilgit-Baltistan tally up to 10,412 while 34,563 cases were reported in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
In addition, the country has recorded 28,745 deaths so far, after eight fatalities were reported over the last 24 hours.
As per official data, Punjab recorded 13,028 deaths, a highest number as compared to any other province while 7,622 in Sindh, 5,851 deaths were reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 186 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 360 in Balochistan, Islamabad Capital Territory has reported 956 deaths and AJK recorded 742 deaths.
According to the NCOC, Pakistan has so far carried out 22,072,293, corona tests and 44,137 in last 24 hours and 1,242,718 patients have recovered.
Reportedly, 460,462 patients have been recovered in Sindh, 425,084 in Punjab, 173,574 in KP, 33,075 in Balochistan, 106,517 in Islamabad Capital Territory, 10,219 in Gilgit-Baltistan while in AJK 33,787 patients have been completely recovered across Pakistan whereas 904 patients are in critical condition.
