DIG Police station attack, 10 Cops Martyred and 6 injured


DIG: 5 February 2024: In a late-night attack on the Chodwan police station in Dera Ismail Khan on Monday, police said that ten officers were slain and six were injured.
The attack occurs three days prior to the scheduled general elections for February 8 (a Thursday).The casualties were confirmed by Nasir Mehmood, a Regional Police Officer (RPO).
"Three terrorist groups started an assault, totaling around thirty individuals. Over two and a half hours were spent in a firefight," Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police head Akhtar Hayat Gandapur told.

Police reported that six officers were hurt and 10 cops were killed in Monday's late-night attack on the Dera Ismail Khan police station in Chodwan.
Three days after the February 8 (a Thursday) national elections, an attack takes place.Regional Police Officer (RPO) Nasir Mehmood confirmed the casualties.
Three terrorist organizations launched an attack that involved about thirty people in all. The gunfight lasted for more than 2.5 hours, according to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police chief Akhtar Hayat Gandapur.
