Fire in Karachi yarn factory doused

KARACHI: 07, DECEMBER, 2021: Fire erupted in a yarn factory in Karachi in the wee hours of Tuesday.
As per details, the fire broke out in yarn factory located in the industrial of New Karachi area of the city which spread very quickly and engulfed the other parts of the factory as a large quantity of yarn and ready-made socks were stored in the factory.
On receiving information, five fire brigade vehicles and rescue teams reached the spot and brought the fire under control after a hectic effort.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, fire brigade officials said.
No loss of life or injuries was reported in the incident. However, valuables worth millions of rupees were reduced to ashes by the fire.
Earlier, on November 13, a fire broke out in a building at Karachi Fish Harbour on Saturday morning.
According to details, the fire broke out in a company office on the second floor of the building at Karachi Fish Harbour.
After getting information, three fire brigade vehicles rushed at the location and brought the fire under control with the help of the ammonia gas.
No human loss or injuries was reported in the incident. (04)
