Rawalpindi: 3 Feb 2024: Amidst speculations surrounding an alleged deal leading to the confinement of former first lady Bushra Bibi at her Banigala residence, former Prime Minister Imran Khan strongly refuted these rumors, stating, "We are not seeking any deal."
The couple made an appearance before Senior Civil Judge Qudratullah at a makeshift courtroom in Adiala Jail concerning the Iddat case. They clarified to the media that the decision to designate the Banigala residence as a 'sub-jail' was not the result of any negotiation or deal. We are not pursuing any deals. Bushra Bibi may be detained at Adiala Jail," stated Mr. Khan, emphasizing that he would not request such a move, especially considering that PTI leaders Yasmin Rashid, Aliya Hamza, and Sanam Javed have been in jail for several months.
He mentioned that he sent a blanket for Bushra Bibi the previous night, but was informed she had been transferred to Banigala. Imran Khan criticized the government's decision to designate the Banigala residence as a sub-jail, suggesting it was done with malicious intent. Regarding Bushra's statements, she mentioned that the establishment had indirectly contacted her, but discussions proved futile.
