Lahore: 4 critically hurt as vehicle hits electric poll

LAHORE: 06, JANUARY, 2021: At least four youth were critically injured when the car they were riding in collided with an electric poll in Lahore in the wee hours of Thursday.
According to details, the accident took place at the Dharampura Canal area where the driver of the car lost control of the vehicle and skidded off the road. Eye-witnesses said the incident occurred due to over-speeding and hit a roadside electric poll.
As a result, four youngsters seriously injured.
After getting information, rescue teams reached the spot and moved the injured to hospital.
As per the rescue sources, the injured were identified as Moeez, Afaq, Zaid and Muneeb.
Earlier, on January 2, one person was dead while several others were injured when a passenger bus turned turtle in Pakpattan on Sunday night.
According to details, the road mishap took place at the Arifwala Road in Pakpattan where a bus overturned, as a result, a man died on the spot and several others were wounded.
After being informed, police and rescue teams reached the spot and moved the dead and injured to hospital.
Eye-witnesses said the accident occurred due to over-speeding. (04)
