Martyred Pak Army soldier Muhammad Shafiq laid to rest with full military honours: ISPR


MIAN CHANNU: 02, DECEMBER, 2021: Pakistan Army soldier Muhammad Shafiq on Thursday has been laid to rest with military honor, stated Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). The soldier embraced martyrdom while serving in the United Nations mission in the Central African Republic (CAR).
Funeral prayer of Muhammad Shafiq was offered at his native town of Mian Channu in Khanewal which which was also attended by several officers of armed forces.
He survived by wife and three sons.
"[The martyred] soldier was buried with full military honours," the statement said, adding that he had joined the UN mission in February 2021. "He was a brave and dedicated member of the Pakistan contingent [and was] ensuring the protection of civilians in CAR and facilitating the delivery of humanitarian assistance." (04)
