Nation observing 73rd death anniversary of Quaid e Azam today


ISLAMABAD: 11, SEPTEMBER, 2021: The 73rd death anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah is being observed today (Saturday) with due solemnity and reverence across the country. 

Quran Khawani will be held at Quaid's mausoleum in Karachi while special prayers will be offered in mosques across the country for the departed soul of the Quaid. 

He was born on December 25th 1876. Muhammad Ali Jinnah served as leader of the All-India Muslim League from 1913 until Pakistan's creation on August 14, 1947. He then served as Pakistan's first Governor-General until his death. 

On the occasion, government representatives from different walks of life would visit the mausoleum of Quaid-e-Azam in Karachi to lay floral wreaths and offered.

Fateha Besides politicians, representatives of the three services will lay wreaths at the mausoleum on behalf of their respective chiefs.

To mark the day, several public and private organizations and educational institutions would hold functions in different cities to highlight different aspects of the life of Quaid-e-Azam, who united the Muslims of the Subcontinent for acquiring a separate homeland.

Television and radio channels would also broadcast special programmes and newspapers would take out special editions to pay homage to the great leader and to highlight different aspects of the life of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and focus on his extra-ordinary political struggle. (04)
