Pakistan registers 11 covid-19 deaths with 359 more cases


ISLAMABAD: 11, DECEMBER, 2021: Coronavirus cases tally in the country has mounted 1,288,761 on Saturday after more infections were reported in different parts of the country.
According to the national database, 395 persons tested positive for the deadly virus in 24 hours whereas the positivity rate stands at 0.77 percent.
As per sources, cases in Sindh climbed to 477,721 the highest number so far in the country, while the confirmed infections tally in Punjab stood at 443,794, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cases jumped to 180,611, in Balochistan 33,528 cases reported, Islamabad Capital Territory covid-19 cases reached 108,081, Gilgit-Baltistan tally up to 10,425 while 34,601 cases were reported in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
In addition, the country has recorded 28,823 deaths so far, after 11 fatalities were reported over the last 24 hours.
As per official data, Punjab recorded 13,050 deaths, a highest number as compared to any other province while 7,634 in Sindh, 5,885 deaths were reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 186 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 363 in Balochistan, Islamabad Capital Territory has reported 962 deaths and AJK recorded 743 deaths.
According to the NCOC, Pakistan has so far carried out 22,479,184, corona tests and 50,859 in last 24 hours and 1,250,427 patients have recovered.
Reportedly, 465,266 patients have been recovered in Sindh, 427,248 in Punjab, 173,997 in KP, 33,125 in Balochistan, 106,749 in Islamabad Capital Territory, 10,224 in Gilgit-Baltistan while in AJK 33,818 patients have been completely recovered across Pakistan whereas 759 patients are in critical condition.
