ISLAMABAD: 02, OCTOBER, 2021: The number of coronavirus cases has mounted to 1,248,202 on Saturday after more infections were reported in different parts of the country.
According to the national database 1,664 persons tested positive for the deadly virus in 24 hours whereas the positivity rate stands at 3.21 percent.
As per sources, cases in Sindh climbed to 458,697 the highest number so far in the country, while the confirmed infections tally in Punjab stood at 432,190, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cases jumped to 174,260 in Balochistan 32,943 cases reported, Islamabad Capital Territory covid-19 cases reached 105,590, Gilgit-Baltistan tally up to 10,329 while 34,193 cases were reported in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
In addition, the country has recorded 27,831 deaths so far, after 46 fatalities were reported over the last 24 hours.
As per official data, Punjab recorded 12,661 deaths, a highest number as compared to any other province while 7,414 in Sindh, 5,559 deaths were reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 184 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 349 in Balochistan, Islamabad Capital Territory has reported 926 deaths and AJK recorded 738 deaths.
According to the NCOC, Pakistan has so far carried out 19,486,951, corona tests and 51,796 in last 24 hours and 1,173,437 patients have recovered.
Reportedly, 428,877 patients have been recovered in Sindh, 402,637 in Punjab, 164,290 in KP, 32,435 in Balochistan, 102,380 in Islamabad Capital Territory, 9,952 in Gilgit-Baltistan while in AJK 32,866 patients have been completely recovered across Pakistan. (04)
