Pakistan registers 336 more covid-19 infections, 10 deaths


ISLAMABAD: 06, DECEMBER, 2021: Coronavirus cases tally in the country has surged to 1,287,161 on Monday after more infections were reported in different parts of the country.
According to the national database, 336 persons tested positive for the deadly virus in 24 hours whereas the positivity rate stands at 0.78 percent.
As per sources, cases in Sindh climbed to 476,830 the highest number so far in the country, while the confirmed infections tally in Punjab stood at 443,519, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cases jumped to 180,383, in Balochistan 33,507 cases reported, Islamabad Capital Territory covid-19 cases reached 107,930, Gilgit-Baltistan tally up to 10,413 while 34,579 cases were reported in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
In addition, the country has recorded 28,777 deaths so far, after 10 fatalities were reported over the last 24 hours.
As per official data, Punjab recorded 13,041 deaths, a highest number as compared to any other province while 7,626 in Sindh, 5,862 deaths were reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 186 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 360 in Balochistan, Islamabad Capital Territory has reported 960 deaths and AJK recorded 742 deaths.
According to the NCOC, Pakistan has so far carried out 22,252,342, corona tests and 42,944 in last 24 hours and 1,246,464 patients have recovered.
Reportedly, 462,811 patients have been recovered in Sindh, 426,144 in Punjab, 173,778 in KP, 33,099 in Balochistan, 106,607 in Islamabad Capital Territory, 10,413 in Gilgit-Baltistan while in AJK 33,801 patients have been completely recovered across Pakistan whereas 862 patients are in critical condition.
