Pakistan registers 82 coronavirus deaths with 3,480 cases in 24 hours


ISLAMABAD: 11, SEPTEMBER, 2021: The number of coronavirus cases has climbed to 1,201,367 on Saturday after more infections were reported in different parts of the country.

According to the national database 3,480 persons tested positive for the deadly virus in 24 hours whereas the positivity rate stands at 5.5 percent.

As per sources, cases in Sindh climbed to 443,521 the highest number so far in the country, while the confirmed infections tally in Punjab stood at 411,808, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cases jumped to 167,782 in Balochistan 32,549 cases reported, Islamabad Capital Territory covid-19 cases reached 102,347, Gilgit-Baltistan tally up to 10,150 while 33,210 cases were reported in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).

In addition, the country has recorded 26,662 deaths so far, after 82 fatalities were reported over the last 24 hours.

As per official data, Punjab recorded 12,198 deaths, a highest number as compared to any other province while 7,116 in Sindh, 5,225 deaths were reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 179 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 342 in Balochistan, Islamabad Capital Territory has reported 886 deaths and AJK recorded 716 deaths.

According to the NCOC, Pakistan has so far carried out 18,347,597, corona tests and 61,128 in last 24 hours and 1,082,988 patients have recovered. 

Reportedly, 386,998 patients have been recovered in Sindh, 372,697 in Punjab, 154,454 in KP, 31,858 in Balochistan, 96,669 in Islamabad Capital Territory, 10,109 in Gilgit-Baltistan while in AJK 30,644 patients have been completely recovered across Pakistan whereas 5,362 patients are in critical condition across the country.
