Pakistan reports 315 Covid-19 cases with five deaths


ISLAMABAD: 23, NOVEMBER, 2021: Coronavirus cases tally in the country has surged 1,282,510 on Tuesday after more infections were reported in different parts of the country.
According to the national database, 315 persons tested positive for the deadly virus in 24 hours whereas the positivity rate stands at 0.89 percent.
As per sources, cases in Sindh climbed to 474,407 the highest number so far in the country, while the confirmed infections tally in Punjab stood at 442,556, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cases jumped to 179,644, in Balochistan 33,453 cases reported, Islamabad Capital Territory covid-19 cases reached 107,506, Gilgit-Baltistan tally up to 10,408 while 34,536 cases were reported in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
In addition, the country has recorded 28,668 deaths so far, after 5 fatalities were reported over the last 24 hours.
As per official data, Punjab recorded 13,002 deaths, a highest number as compared to any other province while 7,611 in Sindh, 5,818 deaths were reported in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 186 in Gilgit-Baltistan and 358 in Balochistan, Islamabad Capital Territory has reported 952 deaths and AJK recorded 741 deaths.
According to the NCOC, Pakistan has so far carried out 21,717,637, corona tests and 35,332 in last 24 hours and 1,238,980 patients have recovered.
Reportedly, 459,903 patients have been recovered in Sindh, 423,290 in Punjab, 172,561 in KP, 33,015 in Balochistan, 106,255 in Islamabad Capital Territory, 10,199 in Gilgit-Baltistan while in AJK 33,757 patients have been completely recovered across Pakistan whereas 1,026 patients are in critical condition.
