Rain with thunderstorm expected in parts of country: PMD

ISLAMABAD: 05, NOVEMBER, 2021: Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicted rain along with thunderstorm and light snowfall over hills in Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, northeast Punjab and a few districts of upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
As per the Met Office, cloudy weather is expected in most upper parts of the country while rain along with thunderstorm in other parts of the country and light snowfall over hills.
In its report, Met Department stated that, a shallow westerly wave was likely to enter upper parts of the country and may persist till Friday.
During the last 24 hours, dry weather prevailed in most plain areas of the country, while cold in hilly areas.
The lowest minimum temperatures recorded during the last 24 hours were Leh -08 C, Ziarat -03 and Skardu -01 C.
A day earlier, the weather office said dry weather in most parts of the country in day time and cold during night in next 12 hours.
According to PMD, dry weather in most parts of the country during the next 12 hours while rain-thunderstorm, snowfall over hills is expected in Gilgit Baltistan and few districts of upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. (04)
