Road mishap in Lahore leaves one dead


LAHORE: 13, DECEMBER, 2021: A motorcyclist was dead in a road mishap in Lahore on Sunday night.
According to details, the road incident took place at the Azadi Flyover in Badami Bagh area of Lahore where a man lost his life when the motorcycle he was riding on hit footpath.
The deceased was identified as 40-year-old Arsalan, resident of Badami Bagh.
Police have moved the body to hospital for autopsy.
Eye-witnesses said the accident happened owing to over speeding.
Earlier, on December 11, at least three people were dead while 27 others were wounded in different road accidents in Punjab on Friday night.
According to details, two persons lost their lives and three others were injured in Shujabad in separate accidents.
After being informed, rescue teams reached the spot and moved the dead and injured to hospital.
Another road mishap took place in Bahawalnagar near the bank of River Sutlej where an over-speeding bus carrying wedding guests overturned. As a result, 4-year boy died on the spot and 20 others were injured.
The dead and injured were shifted to hospital.
On the other hand, a man, his wife and two children were seriously injured in a collision between two cars at the Multan Road in Tiba Sultanpur area of Vehari.
Rescue teams reached the spot and transferred the injured to hospital for medical treatment. (04)
