Shaharyar Khan, chief (PCB), passed away in Lahore, at the age of 89.


Lahore: 23 March 2024: During his illustrious career between 1957 and 1994, Khan held various roles at the foreign ministry, including foreign secretary, ambassador, and high commissioner. The Foreign Office paid tribute to him, acknowledging his significant contributions in safeguarding Pakistan's diplomatic interests.

Foreign Secretary Muhammad Syrus Qazi expressed deep sorrow over Khan's passing, describing him as "one of Pakistan's finest diplomats" who leaves behind a legacy of achievements in protecting and advancing Pakistan's interests.

Pakistan's mission to the UN also mourned Khan's death, recognizing him as a "legendary public servant" who served his country with unwavering dedication.
