The Pakistan Bar Council and Supreme Court Bar Association expressed concerns on Poll Process

Islamabad: 19 Dec 2023: The Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) and the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) expressed concerns on Tuesday regarding the poll process and the behavior of Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sikander Sultan Raja, with the general elections little over a month away.

The leading organizations that represent the legal community emphasized that all parties involved in the general election that is set for February 8 must have equal access to the polls and possibilities.
In a press release, the 26th executive committee of the SCBA announced that President Shahzad Shaukat and Secretary Syed Ali Imran were deeply concerned about "mounting discrepancies in election procedures, delimitations and seat allocation."
Additionally, they brought up "serious questions about the transparency of elections" with the current CEC in office.
