There will be no complain of rigging in elections conducted by using EVMs: Sheikh Rashid

ISLAMABAD: 01, DECEMBER, 2021: Federal Minister for Interior Sheikh Rashid on Wednesday has said that there will be no complain of rigging in elections carried out by using electronic voting machines.
While talking to media, Sheikh Rashid reiterated that new elections in the country will be held through EVMs. The minister added that "Now, the decision is of opposition whether it will approach court or not."
On Tuesday, the federal cabinet set up a ministerial committee for holding the general elections 2023 through EVMs, in which more than nine million overseas Pakistanis will exercise their right of franchise for the first time.
The committee comprises Adviser to the Prime Minister on Parliamentary Affairs Dr Babar Awan, Railways Minister Azam Swati, Minister for Science and Technology Shibli Faraz, Minister for Information Technology Aminul Haq and the attorney general. (04)
